The tenugui is a thin cotton towel that is used daily in Japan for centuries. This rectangular towel with various patterns and multiple uses can be used in onsen – Japanese hot springs – to wash, wipe or cool the head by moistening it with cold water.

With its pretty cardboard box and retro design, this cat print tenugui makes a unique and original gift from Japan. It can be used either as a hand towel, a dish towel, a handkerchief for wiping the forehead or even as a wall decoration.

  • Do not wash with other items or leave the tenugui wet for too long, the colors may fade or migrate.
  • Hand wash is recommended (or machine wash at low temperature, delicate cycle and mild detergent, using a washing net)
